Installing additional SSD drive

Hello. I have a CustoMac Pro and need to install an additional SSD drive (internal). If I connect the drive, will my OSX software detect the new drive, or will I have to go into the BIOS of multibeast in order to add the drive? Please advise. Thanks!

install the drive. Then, use Disk Utility to format it. Simple as that.
