Installed SL, can't update AT ALL, kernel panic

My setup is:

Gigabyte GA-p55A-UD3 rev 1.0 F11
Intel Core i5 750
Gigabyte GeForce 9800GT
OCZ agility SSD 120Gb
Kingston 2x4Gb 1333Hz RAM

Using iboot and installing SL from retail DVD works totally fine, but when i try to update to any of the higher os x (i need at least 10.6.4), i get kernel panic after booting. (i used User DSDT with ga-p55a-ud3 rev1.0 f11.aml for it).

What am i doing wrong?

You need to boot verbose.
That will tell why you are KPing.

I have had trouble with update installs on occasion.
Did update complete properly ?
Check bios. Some updates reset bios. This definitely happens with Mountain Lion.

Always have backup copy of OS on separate HD or partition to fix OS when it doesn't boot.
