Installation without optical drive HELP!!

I see people keep showing their builds that don't have an optical drive. Mostly on ITX cases. How do they install everything then if they don't have an optical drive for the iBoot CD and the Snow leopard DVD?

Is this a stupid question? Please, I need to know, my parts are about to come and I bought a dvd slim drive to install leopard. I heard at the forum that the optical drive is not compatible so I want to know if I can use it just for the install and then remove it.

Most people go straight to Lion or Mountain Lion, since these can be installed with a USB drive. However, installing Lion or Mountain Lion requires you to have access to a real Mac or existing Hackintosh, to create the installer USB drive with Unibeast.
