Ok I think I got it downloaded yesterday, I will try that.

No change same Kernel panic.

PS I have 3 SATA HDD's one with 7 and the other two are empty right now.

What kind of DVD drive are you using? It has to be SATA.
 
If I use -v -x the install will run for like a minute before panicing, if not 10 sec

Anybody?

I'd unhook all drives but the DVD and the HD you are going to install onto and make sure they are attached to the blue SATA ports. Make sure you are using latest BIOS.
 
Also make sure all BIOS setting are correct. CPU speed, memory speed. AHCI not IDE. Turn off anything not needed.

Ok, where can I find out what the right bios settings are?

My bios version is F5
 
Go to giga-byte web site and do a search for your mb. My MB is at F8.
