The reason I asked you not to use the EFI uploaded to this thread is because it was for a pirated version of macoS - which is against site rules. It has now been removed.

Instead use the EFI @scottkendall pointed you to, to learn from.

The system-definition you choose in your EFI does affect how macOS runs, or why else have different ones? But yes, you can install first and then experiment. Just so long as the definition you use to install gives you a display output.

I see now why I shouldn't use it.
Create a custom EFI.

I'll try to create it using the sites in this thread as a reference, but if I get stuck working on it, I'll ask more questions.
