Hi

Trying to install Yosemite 10.10.5 onto my new Mac Pro Hack but getting KP on installation.

My spec:

MSI Z97M Gaming Motherboard
Intel Core i7 4790K s1150 CPU
16Gb Corsair RAM
Asus Strix GTX960 2Gb Graphics Card
Corsair H60 CPU Water Cooler
500Gb Samsung EVO SSD
1Tb Western Digital HDD
DVD RW
Apple BCM94360CD BT4.0 / WiFi Card With PCI-E Adaptor

I'm booting from a UniBeast USB stick

The monitor is connected to the Asus graphics card via DVI

I'm using bootflags -v maxmemory=4096 it gets so far then this:

Has anyone got any ideas how to proceed?

You need the Nvidia web drivers.

  1. Add nv_disable=1 to your boot flags.
  2. Install the latest Nvidia web drivers for Mac OS X 10.10.5
  3. Set your Nvidia settings (top navbar) to use the web drivers.
  4. Add nvda_drv=1 to your boot flags.

That worked but after finishing installation and booting from my SSD I have to type nvda_drv=1 every time I boot otherwise I get a black screen. Other than that the machine works great and is very stable.

How can I make the above command permanent?

Edit Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist and add nvda_drv=1 to the Kernel Flags.

Thanks bro, that did the trick!

Oh dear, I spoke to soon.

When I switched on today It would not boot so I tried with -v and got the following:

Untitled-1.jpg

Or this one:

Untitled-2.jpg

If I boot with -v -x nv_disable=1 the machine will start (in default graphics mode)

Here is the Boot.plist

What has happened??

Try to boot with kext-dev-mode=1 -v
