Hello,

I am having an issue with the installation. It gets about 75% complete and just sits there or has the circle with the cross through it.
I think it might be something either installed or maybe an option that I did or didn't check. I went through the installation guide and ensured all that was correct.
I am new to hackintosh but i have a MBP so anything i need to get i do directly from there. What am i missing here? :(
A side note, i use windows also and need to be able to continue to use it, but i have a second NVME m.2 installed for the install and 2 512GB SSDs i could also use if need be..

Shout out to: Svart, I used his bios configuration heavily.

There are no Catalina drivers for a GTX 1070.

Well, I guess that solves that. What are my options here?
Can I disable the the dGFX and only use the iGFX? Or maybe use a different OS?

remove it from your machine and plug your monitor into your motherboard

It looks like a few folks have had luck getting high sierra paired with the gtx 1070. Wouldn’t that be a better option?

your choice if you want an older OS or a newer OS

Understood, but opening my case and removing my graphics card every time I wanna switch seems a bit much right?

after you have installed macOS, you can create a SSDT to disable the card

That’s a great solution. I will give this a shot when I get home today.

thank you!

Hello,

I removed the graphics card and the system goes through the loading process and reboots. I took a video and this is the last text before the reboot.
