Installation can't pass the black screen and apple logo. MSI Z97

I don't have a solution, but I saw at least one other report of the same, and I've added an entry to the big list of solutions to track it if we figure it out.

Hi All,

Had the same error as reported here.

I was able to get it to work by replacing VBoxHfs-64.efi with HFSPlus.efi in EFI/CLOVER/DRIVERS64.EFI (*) based on this report:

My setup:

Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC Mate
Processors: i5-4690K
GPU: Dual AMD R9-280X Crossfire

I only replaced VBoxHfs-64.efi with HFSPlus.efi and booted with no flags. Installation went fine without any errors.
