So there have been times since upgrading to 10.13 that Ive noticed with Intel Power Gadget that the CPU had been pegged at 2.3GHz for quite some time, so I decided to check P States to ensure PM was working (which I assumed, because after a while it would come off the 2.3GHz ) . I noticed this time compared to last there are more CPU P-States, but iGPU is 16 and 18, whereas before it did have more as seen above. Is this anything to be concerned about? Problem reporting files incoming shortly, just wanted to paste these results before restarting to update DSDT/origin

I don't see any issue there.
Pstates vary depending on what you did with the computer while monitoring.

Ok, so the times it is pegged it could just be something running in the background? The only thing open was Chrome but I understand Chrome can be intensive.

I have also noticed at times the trackpad will become fairly unresponsive, or the webcam will stop showing up in the camera section of system report, or the USB Wifi will randomly show connection but wont work. A restart will generally fix all of these, and I believe more often than not the problems occur after sleep (but not always). I assume this has to do with USB and setting the port limit and such?

Has Energy Saver changed or is something wrong here? I dont see any slider for sleep settings.

It is what is expected for certain SMBIOS.
Ok, so is there any way to prevent it from sleeping unless I close the lid if on the power adapter? Id prefer it not sleep if its plugged in.

Click on "Power Adapter" tab.

Click on "Power Adapter" tab.
I see the "Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off". Does that also apply when the lid is closed or does lid closing always trigger sleep?

Why don't you test it to find out?

Ok, looks like it just turns off the display. It comes right back on after opening the lid.

Thanks.
