Inflated installation size? This is with a Unibeast USB install of 10.7.4 on to a 500GB hard drive with two equal partitions. The install was to the first partition and cloned to the second. Note the size. Does anyone understand this?

I saw it on an Ivy Bridge install onto a new MSI Z77MA-GA45 motherboard and did not pay much attention thinking it is something in the new set-up.

Well this example is with stable machine that has been up for over a year and was running Lion 10.7.3 (and still can as the 10.7.4 install is to a new drive and the old drives are intact).

Wow that's weird. Tried Disk Repair?

Or just clone the 2nd OSX back to the first drive.

I have seen the same several times in the past.
After a few boots or using disk utility it went away.
Check for extra lion install apps.
Check desktop for images or extra disks in Computer.
Cloning sometimes leaves garbage behind. (ccc)

When you use ccc it creates a folder thats usaly a few GB on the clone drive. I always delete it.
