I think that for anyone who has gotten this far(ie: your hackintosh boots up and is relatively stable) your next goal is to get OS X to fully utilize your graphics card. Sure your graphics card may work (Quartz Extreme/Core Graphics etc) but it still annoys you that you know that the OS should still perform much smoother or the FPS you achieve on games is laughable even compared to a theoretically much slower Apple Macintosh. In other words graphics card spec's mean nothing if your system doesn't correctly recognize and utilize its full power.

This post is to discover the best hackintosh graphics card. Not necessarily the beefiest one to be bootable under OS X but the one that achieves the greatest graphics scores or FPS in popular games under OS X. Again, graphics scores achieved when booted in any other OS besides Mac OS X are irrelevant (UNLESS you post them next to your OS X scores). We all know that other OS's do a pretty good job of fully utilizing the Graphics Card. Its Apple's OS that doesn't get any Graphics Card love.

So please, post your NOVABENCH scores (not geek bench, since that only tests your CPU and RAM - it doesn't even touch your graphics card). You could also post your Cinebench Scores (but that is a pretty large Download compared to Novabench). Then we can all discover the best performing hackintosh Graphics Card.

I'll Start

NovaBench Score: 825 (windows)
NovaBench Score: 503 (mac Graphics Test: 40)

this is great - thanks for the posts guys - I forgot to mention but it would be nice if each also put what they used to get their graphics card to work, whether that is just the Graphics Enabler = yes, some special kext, or *gasp* drivers from the manufacturer.

In my case I just used the Graphics Enabler = yes, and also tried Graphics Strings in DSDT with similar results.

And for those who haven't posted please do - even if yours is lower than someone elses here. Also if you see someone has posted your card with lower or higher values than your own PLEASE POST, more data always helps.

As a side note, even though this goes without saying, please make sure that your specs listed on the left below your name are accurate and up to date.
