I have already use whatevergreen.kext

and about not working are :
1. my VEGA 64 PCI device implementation naming in apple system information is not working
2. seems like everything I set about my Vega fan speed doesn't have any impact, always max around 2400 rpm
3. what is this random freeze in the desktop? it seems like happen after I made a wrong input about ssdt Vega, but I have already deleted and reboot but it happen sporadically, the freeze things

I'm sorry if not appropriate
thank you

That your Vega is not even properly implemented under „PCI“ of Apple‘s system report means that your respective SSDT is wrong, crashes and is simply not applied during system boot! No surprise that also fan speeds are not properly applied in this case!

Fix and properly adopt the respective SSDT to your system!

You see based on a little bit more information I am at least able to answer your question..

Next time when sombody just claims „is not working“ I will not answer at all o_O:rolleyes:.. or I will show the same lazyness and unprecision in formulating my answers like some users show in writing their initial requests..

Good luck

Today was my first try of installing Mojave to my PC.

The first problem I experienced is APFS. I have UnSolid.kext in Clover of my USB installer, but still, after installation - my NVMe SSD is APFS. Before installation, I formatted SSD as GUID HFS+... But seems like installer overwrites it with APFS.

Am I doing something wrong here?

(I actually continued post-install procedure, but I will first try to install to HFS+, and then continue with post-install. Next problem will be enabling onboard 10gbe adapters. @djlild7hina - I was hoping for your help but after I fix this APFS thing. Post install went great even with it, but I want to start fresh with HFS+ and do everything cleanest possible, with detailed instructions for other people with the same motherboard).

EDIT: Sorry people, decided it was stupid idea to install Mojave on a working computer. I will go with High Sierra instead. Not posting in this thread :)

It is not a stupid idea to install Mojave on a working computer, moreover if one performs a clean install of Mojave on a separate system disk. However, it might be indeed a stupid idea to install Mojave on a computer that employs a Nvidia GPU without any available web driver, which makes any working computer just useless. Your problem is not Mojave.. Your problem is rather Nvidia, I guess.. ;)

I would not highlight such misleading comment moreover in boldface and red colour..

thank you for your reply
It is not my intention at all to show some "laziness" I just don't know how to inform (complete information) here my problem without guidance like from you for the example
well at least now I know now how to report a complete problem, lesson learned

anyway my problem as stated before seems gone now, I deleted all my EFI Partition folder and I use a replacement for my EFI folder from my another Mojave installation on another disk in the same machine.
so, maybe my EFI folder was corrupted

but still don't know how to read my PCI information for my Gigabyte RX VEGA 64 Silver Edition.
So, maybe if there any input or help from anyone here about my Vega, it will be really appreciate, here are my IOREG information : (anyway I just ordered from EKWB water block and backplate for my Gigabyte RX Vega 64 Silver Edition, my assumption if I use Watercooling and connected to my existing loop than I will don't have to edit about powertable thing(s) )

Why don't you simply use my SSDT-X299-Vega.aml? Following your IOREG screenshots, it does not seem that you need any adaptation, well the PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable likely... But simply try and carefully watch the GPU temps and fan speed behaviour.. Don't forget to also implement SSDT-X299-HDEF.aml and SSDT-DTPG.aml in addition!

that's the first thing I try and still showing no correct information in the apple system information, I will try again tonight then.
thankyou KGP

btw, I'm curious about how much core voltage your 7980XE needed to run all core at 4.8Ghz and what do you use to check the overclock stability?

I currently use Mac Pro so I was hoping to switch to this machine when we get normal web drivers and when I stress test it enough :)

But even then I think it is not that good idea since it is newest OS, with possible bugs etc. I wrote it in red just so that people know that I don't need any answers regarding Mojave and that I will continue in High Sierra thread. I will edit it just so that I don't confuse others.

Well Mojave works pretty stable. I do not face any issues on my system. Open question though: third party software compatibility.. ;)

In any case forget about Mojave for now with your Nvidia GPU, which is totally useless until a 10.14 web driver has been released. :(
