So, in order for me to plug this into a regular PCI slot, I need some kind of adapter, right? What about antenna?
Would you recommend to go with the original one, or that I could get something of a higher range?

Someone might need to step in here and confirm, the description says for Intel, isn't there an issue with intel WiFi?.

Thank you Craighazan, I actually am going to order a different one:

This adapter is not specifically for my card, but it should be close enough I think. You're probably right about the Intel, why risk it again. Could've worked too, but I would not expect anyone to step in and voice opinion if it will work or not. The consensus was that the T919 is the way to go

In any case, I'll post the results over here, it shouldn't take more then a few days.

I feel a bit sad that all of you fine folks were helping me and trying to make my Fenvi work and make a case of successful configuration outcome for everyone else who'd follow in this forum.
If you still want me to continue investigating, I'm happy to help and proceed with my Fenvi.

This solution, the BCM943602CDP + the adapter is just 20% more expensive than the fenvi, but might be more reliable in the long run.

Thank you all of you guys, everyone who spent time working this issue with me, from the first reply to the final investigation and research of a possible workaround to my Fenvi card!
It is a pleasure to be part of this community, I'm going to spend more time learning about dsdt tables and hopefully I'd be able to contribute more.

This was a great learning experience for me, burning my motherboard in the process of taking the native intel card, and I'm happy I did.
What end up happening is a simple little Quirks setting property "DisableIoMapper" to switch from false->true inside config.plist:

I came across this as an option when I encountered issues running VMware Fusion with Vt-d enabled from the Bios. What I tried was to have VMWare running a light version of linux, have that guest use my network card, and share internet with the host As soon as I switched mapper to True, my Internet came to life

I had thought it was rather unusual that you couldn't turn wifi on via the Big Sur Control center. Nice work figuring that out. Should help others to avoid the same simple mistake.

Such a simple thing as installing a card which has native support that it never occurred to me that the user had sabotaged his own config.plist, a lesson learned there.

Out of curiosity I just ran it through the Sanity Checker . . . . Ouch !

OpenCore does give the end user a lot of options to switch on or off that Clover never did. That Sanity checker is a very valuable tool that most people should be using routinely. If we ever post an official OC guide here that should be a part of it.

Such a simple thing as installing a card which has native support.

Since the BCM94360CD is in iMacs as recent as the mid 2015 5K iMac this Broadcom card has to be natively supported in Big Sur it should always work OOB. At least until Apple drops support for all the 15,1 iMacs.

Definitely agree. I would've solved my wifi issue just by referencing that Mapper item and questioning why is my option set to No whereas it should be, or at least suggested to be Yes.

Since the cards I ordered last night are already in shipping, I'm going to compare the throughput performance. For some reason I do not get a lot of bandwidth with the current card. Yes, I have internet, but it peaks at about 22-25mb, while side by side MacBook pro goes into 150-200mbps.

I'll post my findings on that soon.
