Here are some pics of the board.
Looks like the resistors combined are around 300 ohms.
The last part of the original jack sensing stuff was some smd resistor. That was roasted in two with the soldering iron, so that the bridge is the only path to the jack plug.
In short: the resistors go directly from the 8pin to the last part of the board before the jack plug.

I hope this helps more people to make this work!

Now that I have looked at the other threads with the wiring again, I see that these resistors are for the power LED.
The jack sensing stuff was done in a similar way, but with a resistor in the wiring harness.

Thanks for the reply to this important info. I have a newer version of that board - the 44 pin small one, so I cannot do this directly as you, but I will experiment with the value of these resistors at around 300 Ohm and see if I can make it work.
Thanks again!
Kind regards,
Laverda.

We basically bypassed all of the mac sensing stuff and added our own with the resistors.
So if you know the right pin and go to the last solder point before the jack, you can do the same

Yes I do, and I think I can do that.
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards,
Laverda

Thank you!

The links to wiring are here:

I think I used the corrected USB wiring and the rest of the wiring like in the front panel wiring picture (link 4) + the description in neilharts thread.

The hdd case isn't sold anymore I think. I got it second hand.
It's called: Macally g-s350

Now that I see the pinouts again, I need to correct my other posts about the jack sensing.
The resistors in the picture are for the power led

@IJskonijn
hey thank you for the links. I will look through the posts and see if i can adopt the audio jack sensing to my build.
I will let you know.

It looks like the 2006/2008 cases are better for PC mod.

Firstly the front fans are two 120 instead of one 120 plus a 92, so there should be more airflow for the GPU chamber.

Secondly, the RAM cage is separate from the wind tunnel assembly, it will be easier to access to the CPU cooler.
