Ignoring Firmware updates

Just went to install the latest Mojave update and I'm receiving a "Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.2" notice.

How do I ignore or deal with this otherwise?

@P1LGRIM thanks for the info, I had read that thread, but it looks like it never got resolved. I was looking at changing my SMBIOS and seeing what happens.
