***UPDATE***

Ok so i'm struggling getting' iCloud to work on ivy bridge (z77x-u5dh + i5 3570K)

Some considerations:

What's working

- iCal
- iTunes
- Address Book
- App Store

Not working

- iCloud system preference pane (does work when icloud is activated on a non-ivy system)
- Mail, Contacts & Calendars system preference pane (does work when icloud is activated on a non-ivy system)
- Photostream in iPhoto, requires the above (does work when icloud is activated on a non-ivy system)
- Messages (beta) (not even when activated on non ivy system)
- FaceTime (not even when activated on non ivy system)

Tried so far:

- changing serial in SMbios.plist
- deleting network interfaces
- editing chameleon boot plist
- all methods described so far on this forum
- installed osx on an non-ivy computer, activated icloud, deleted the extra folder, installed birdgehelper (now icloud is activated and running on ivy BUT imessages-beta/facetime were automatically signed out and thus inactive, and these cannot be activated again when on ivy)

Interesting read:

Anyone got anything to add?

do you have :

Code:
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>

in your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist?

Also make sure you are using a recent version of chameleon booter (/boot)

ah, so it seems to be related to the custom kernel for Ivy Bridge... you'll likely have to wait until Apple releases an Ivy Bridge Mac and use that kernel or OS update with it.

There is a way to have iCloud sync in a ivy bridge

Install Lion on a PC without the BridgeHelper
Activate the iCloud Services
Install BridgeHelper

And is done.

On a computer without Bridgehelper an Hackintosh or a Machintosh

so talk with tony and let him update bridgehelper with new kernel

Me too, I tried all kind of solutions, but I can't make iCloud and FaceTime work on my ivy bridge. :beachball: will wait until Apple support Ivy Bridge then with a Apple kernel, I guess iCloud can work again... But who knows...
