i9 10980XE + Gigabyte X299X Aorus Master

Can this config be viable?
Advices, contraindications, warnings?

the cpu is fine but as long as you use an old x299 board and not the new refresh x299x
trust me i have both
gaming 7 pro x299
aorus master x299x

if the x299x bios failure get fix then yes the x299x might be a better option
specially with the 10980xe
no one wants to lose the extra pci-e lanes, faster ram speed, wifi 6 etc
but as right now
the x299x is pretty much useless on mac os
even in windows with the latest bios, the boot time is slower in the aorus master
compared with my gaming 7 pro

the x299x should be or is suppose to be the better board
but as right now is not, maybe is bios related, unmatured bios

Just checking in to see if you're still happy with that board? I'm thinking about picking it up, it's a bit pricier than the Gigabyte boards, but I suppose it's worth it for the peace of mind.
