Hi Everyone,

I've been working on this Hackintosh for a while and have tried various things but seem to come to this error almost every time. I'm totally at a loss of what to do and what else to try. It's almost like I'm missing a Kext or something?

Backtrace/Kernel Extension errors i'm getting are:
  • com.apple.driver.DiskImage.KernelBacked
    • Dependency: com.apple.driver.DiskImages
    • Dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOStorageFamily
  • com.appledriver.DiskImages.UDIFDiskImage
    • Dependency: com.apple.driver.DiskImages.KernelBackend
    • Dependency: com.apple.driver.DiskImages
    • Dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOStorageFamily
Current Build:
  • CPU: i7-8700k
  • Motherboard: GA-Z370N-WIFI
  • RAM: G.Skillz Trident Z 32GB DDR4-3000 (2x16GB)
  • GPU: Integrated UHD630
  • Harddrive: Samsung 860 EVO
  • Bios: Revision F5
  • MacOS version: 10.14.3 (Mojave)
BIOS settings:
  1. Save & ExitLoad Optimized Defaults
  2. M.I.T. → Advanced Memory Settings Extreme Memory Profile(X.M.P.) : Profile1 (Tried disabling didn't work either)
  3. BIOS → Fast Boot : Disabled
  4. BIOS → LAN PXE Boot Option ROM : Disabled
  5. BIOS → Storage Boot Option Control : UEFI
  6. Peripherals → Trusted Computing → Security Device Support : Disabled
  7. Peripherals → Network Stack Configuration → Network Stack : Disabled
  8. Peripherals → USB Configuration → Legacy USB Support : Auto
  9. Peripherals → USB Configuration → XHCI Hand-off : Enabled
  10. Chipset → Vt-d : Disabled
  11. Chipset → Wake on LAN Enable : Disabled
  12. Chipset → IOAPIC 24-119 Entries : Enabled
CSM disabled
Internal graphic Enabled
Memory settings to 128 MB (instead of 64MB)

Installation methodology:
  • Unibeast 9.0.0 - didn't work
  • Unibeast 9.1.0 - didn't work
  • Vanilla method and used clover v4871 - didn't work
I've tried using the EFI from this post:

KEXT tried to use:
  • FakeSMC/VirtualSMC - same error
Other additional configurations:
Config.plist changes:
  1. ACPI -> Fixes > FixShutdown
  2. find: 83FB0F0F 838F0400 00
    replace: 83FB0F90 90909090 90
Other things I've tried:
  • Booting windows 7
    • Worked when booting a live USB, but seems like the USB 3.0 ports don't work for the keyboard.
    • Got to the install screen but then again, keyboard didn't work.
  • Installing onto SSD drive and plugging into SATA port
    • Same error in the image

Update:
Issue was actually the CPU being faulty. Replaced the i7-8700k and installed without any issues.
