Again, sorry if this has already been covered, but can’t find any relevant posts....
I’m following the custoMac mATX buying guide and my last part to buy is the CPU which I’ve been closely watching the prices of over the last few months. Is there a reason the i7 8700K is recommended instead of the 9700K?
I’ve also noticed a lot of completed builds are using the 8700K instead of the 9700K.
I’ve done a lot of research about the performance of both cpu and there doesn’t seem to be a great deal of noticeable differences so I’m not too bothered about that... I’m sure both are capable for my needs.
I’m more interested in the compatibility within a hackintosh, and why i7 9700K is always cheaper to buy than the 8700K even though it’s a newer processor??
am I missing something?...
for the Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming
Thanks.
