Hey!
My new hack is working OK, however, I do notice CPU temperatures rising pretty fast (45- 55 degrees) when I'm not really doing any heavy stuff. My PWM CPU fans start to spin even when I'm only looking at some 4k footage, let alone edit it. I'm using the i7 6700k aml file that was provided on this forum. I tried to generate my own ssdt pike's ssdtprgen, but I'm getting a conflict because of my iMac 14,2 system definition.
My questions
- Is is wise to change my systemdefinition to 17,1 so it matches my skylake processor and then generate a ssdt with pike's script?
- How can I be sure that my powermanagement / ssdt is working properly? Does this affect performance?
I could really use some help here, thanks a bunch,
