I don't know what I made wrong. I have a Rampage iV Extreme, 4390K and a RX 580 4GB. I try follow this guide but without luck. In the first try I get the Apple logo and loading for one hour later still in the "99%" format. I changed some kext, and now, when boot, the Clover stop work all. in High Sierra all work great.

Mojave Update

Introduction
...

Hello! I have been using this build for over 6 years now. I am still on El Capitan and would like to update to Mojave with new GPU card (currently with GTX 780). I am open to suggestions for new card either from RADEON or NVDIA RX 2080 as well as new Inateck card with USB C.

@shilohh are you planning to release a new guide for Mojave or the guide for Sierra is compatible with Mojave installation. Thanks.

The 2080 has no Mojave Drivers. Take a look at the Radeon VII instead. There are still a few new ones available. If you want to keep using your 780 that will still work with Mojave. Has native support with drivers from Apple. Nothing to install separately.

shilohh hasn't signed in since last May, so I highly doubt it.

Thanx for prompt reply. My other option would be GTX 1080 Ti, the problem with my 780 now is that it is getting old and doesnt cut for lot of stuff I do. Furthermore, I cannot update ADOBE Premiere anymore....due to old OS

My other option would be GTX 1080 Ti,
With this GPU you can't upgrade past High Sierra. Again, Nvidia hasn't provided any Mojave drivers for this card.

So, really, there is no other option than RADEON (most likely RADEON RX Vega 64) cards for Mojave. Is it possible to upgrade this rig with these cards? Do you think it is possible to follow guide for High Sierra for Mojave install? I have noticed there is a guide couple of pages back. Thank you kindly.

Mojave Update

Hi Machinee! I've your exact same setup, and I managed to get Mojave installed flawlessly. What seems to be hard is to install the Security Update. Did you get it installed? I'm talking about Security Update 2020-001 for 10.14.6.

Thanks!

I haven't installed Security Update 2020-001 but the previous ones hasn't been a problem. Update clover and all the kexts you are using to the latest versions if you haven't already, to rule that out.

I've sorted it out, apparently the problem was the second SSD I had plugged which has 10.12.6 on it, once unplugged the update went smooth!
