Hello guys,

I am trying to build a cheap but powerful hackintosh with the following specs:

CPU: Intel i5-2400
Motherboard: ASUS P8H61 DDR3 LGA 1155
GPU: ASUS GTX 660 2GB-DC2-2GD5
RAM: 2 x 8 GB
WIFI: ?

Is this possible?

Thanks!

If you do a search for your specific motherboard, then you should find some helpful threads. Similar Asus P8H61 boards may have different audio and ethernet options. For these old Asus boards a USB audio adapter like the Sabrent work very well. Wifi cards that are compatible with macOS are also linked in the buyers guide > Accessories section.

Does your board have a UEFI or BIOS? - BIOS boards should use legacy installation method, while the UEFI boards can use UEFI booting. If you are dual booting with windows then check if Windows is installed legacy or not.

The GTX 660 has native support and requires no graphics injection or further drivers to run correctly.
