I just bought my hackintosh a refurbished 27 inch 2560 x 1440 monitor from ebay because I do a lot of photo editing and wanted to try working with a screen higher resolution then 1080p. So far I love it, the colour is perfect and it is super clear. I have enabled HiDPI mode and it looks incredible however it is obviously set to the same scale as 720p which is not enough screen real estate for me, but when it is just set at regular 2560 x 1440 everything is too small. I have tried seating around and had no luck on scaling the windows and menu bar down while staying at 720p HiDPI. does anyone know how to keep my HiDPI resolution while shrinking the windows to give more real estate? I ultimately would like the same space on screen as 1080p. Thanks in advance.
