I can only use 1024x768 resolution on my Hackintosh?

Hi, I have installed Mac OS X Mountain Lion on my PC (Hackintosh) successfully and I was very happy .

But, I realised I have a lower screen resolution than my monitor has supported!
The only selection in System Preferences > Display is "1024 x 768". My monitor resolution is "1280 x 1024".
I need help?

And, I need to record my screen but this problem ain't letting me.

I am using ATI Radeon HD (Don't remember the number).

Tried Multibeast and restarted but no good. Stayed the same. Also tried putting the string in the com.apple.Boot.plist and also in the org.chameleon.Boot.plist and restart but still no luck.

Tried all websites but no luck.

Please help? Any help would be appreciated. o_o

Your graphics drivers may not work correctly. Look up what exact card you have. That is the only way we can troubleshoot it maybe.

Oh, yeah. Found the whole name now. Here is my card: ATI Radeon HD 5450.

Please list all your hardware to allow forum members to see what you have, therefor possibly diagnose the problem/s

Try to install this kext with Kext Wizard. It my solve the probleme. But I can guarantee nothing so back up everything if your PC won't boot after the install.
But I think it is worth a try.

OK. I will try.

EDIT: Nope, not working. Gave a Kernel Panic, restarted and then it booted into Mac OS X but I still tried going into System Preferences > Display and clicking Scalable but I still only see that option.

DELL Optiplex 755
Intel(R) Core 2 Duo
4 GB of RAM and 2 processors
32-bit OS but with Virtualization Support
Main OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 (Dual-booted Mountain Lion with Windows actually )
4.6 Windows Experience Index rating

Intel DH67BL LGA 1155
16Gig Memory
240Gig SSD
OS X 10.11.3
i5 3570 3.4


Thing is the GT 740 is still only showing 1280 x 800 Resolution. This is pissing me off now. Web Drivers are installed along with cuda. The colors seem ok but the resolution is driving me nuts. Help please.

How are you connecting to your monitor ?
