Hi, I have recently got a 4K monitor (Samsung 28") and I have read that running at 4K puts a lot of strain on the GPU. I have a Nvidia Palit GTX 960 and I have also installed HWMonitor and the FakeSMC plugin which allows me to view the temperatures of the components of my system. However, the GPU temperature fails to show up. Also, the fans on my GPU only spin at start-up, the rest of the time they are off (not spinning at all). I remember when I ran this set up with Windows 7 that the fans only started to spin when the GPU got to a certain temperature, that would only ever happen when I was running GTA 5 at 60fps. Is this normal and is there a way that I can view my GPU temperatures or even control the GPU fans manually? View attachment HWMonitor.tiff This is a screen shot of the HWMonitor menu.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
