Hi,
I've been trying to install Big Sur on a HP Z420 for a few days now but keep hitting the same issue.
I've prepared an USB stick following joepool's guide but at some point (before I reach the installer) the screen just switches off.
Joepool's hardware config is slightly different from mine since he's using a Intel Xeon E5-1650 v2 CPU whereas I have a Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2. Both CPUs are however part of the same family so I don't think that's the issue.
I suspect that the problem has something to do with the different GPUs we're using.
Joepool is using a Nvidia Quadro K4000 whereas I'm using a Nvidia Quadro K2000.
Since my GPU is nativly supported, I have removed SSDT-GPU-SPOOF.aml from EFI/OC/ACPI and have removed the entry from config.plist.
I have also added shikigva=40 to the boot-args. Neither of these changes seem to have had any impact on my issue.
Any ideas ?
