HP Spectre x360 w/ i7-8550U... Compatible?

I followed the guides, for what I can, and everything is installed but unstable, the PC often reboots in kernel panic or does not start because in kernel panic for nvme problems.
My spectre x360 has i7 8550u
16 gig of ram
512 gb ssd m2
I am attaching my efi / clover folder and links to two videos of my kernle panicc that does not attach me as a file here on the forum, I have come to the maximum of what I can do with my knowledge, please, if you can, can you revise and "fix" my clover folder?

this is the video

"Problem Reporting" files are incomplete.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Hi did u find out solution ? I have same problem

Hi everyone,

I also have an 8th Gen HP Spectre 13 that I've been working with. Everything is in a primordial state, but I have the following working:

- Graphics (UHD)
- Touchpad / Keyboard (VoodooPS2, though this shows up as mouse)
- Sound (VoodooHDA, will attempt to go native at a later time)
- Wifi will never work, so I'm using a USB adapter

There's a lot I need to address in the DSDT / SSDTs, but I'm being blocked my a compiler error that I can't seem to figure out (screenshot below). It's not the type of PARSEOP error that Rehabman's Laptop Patches work on.

Can anyone help me get past this syntax error so I can start debugging USB and backlight and whatnot?

'wifi will never work' means wireless card has soldered?

That's correct; the Coffee Lake version of the 13 inch x360 has a soldered WiFi card. The 15 inch version of this specific generation of the laptop still has removable WiFi card, but neither size of the recent gem-cut version has an upgradable WiFi card. So your best bet if you want to run with the Spectre is probably the late-2017/early-2018 Coffee Lake 15".

No problem—I've done a bit of research on this. It's a bit disappointing that HP is moving toward soldering these components, but as far as I can tell, it seems to be in the service of improving the thermals, which makes sense as the machine tends to get a little toasty. The board on the gem-cut version of the device is a lot smaller than the ones in the prior versions.

On the plus side: It's technically possible (if not officially supported) to upgrade the RAM to 32GB on the 15" Coffee Lake model if you so choose, so if you're willing to go with the larger model, there's a bit of headroom. And the pre gem-cut models still pack a punch: The most recent version before the latest redesign sports an i7-8750H.
