If you keep it enabled, the ProBook Installer will automatically patch DSDT/SSDT to disable it when running OS X. There is no need to disable it for installation, provided you are using the correct config.plist.
 
Thanks for the instructions! I'm up and running on my probook 4430s. However my machine crashes frequently, seemingly without cause. It'll be perfectly stable and then just throw a kernel panic out of nowhere. I'm posting the crash report below (it's always the same one). I'm suspecting that my com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily kext got corrupted somehow. Is there a way to reinstall it? I sent the troubleshooting files to rehabman via PM.

Do a fresh install. It is obvious you've installed a lot of 3rd party system software (I'd call it junk) on your system.
 
Appreciate the quick reply. I would if possible try to avoid a clean reinstall, since I use the machine for music production and would not like to reinstall plugin packs etc because because that is likely to screw up ableton projects; I also have the user folder on a separate hard drive, and using the migration utility would be problematic.

Barring that, do you have any hints about what I might try?

Your problem is likely all the garbage you installed. You can attempt to remove it.
 
Issue from Probook installer : installing kext for my HP 8460 install them OK but all Extra tool failed to install.. Tested on Maverick and Yosemite too : same issue. See attached my log file.

Try with beta 5 thanks. Your case is special, maybe difference in language?

Also, it seems like you have wrong EFI partition? PBI CE can't mount it, so no kexts are installed at all.

It's beta 5 I used (and previous version also). Kext install is ok. The issue is just for extra tools . For EFI partition, it's FAT32 and I'm able to mount it with clover configurator (installed manually). My language is French but changed for English for trying without fix the issue .

With the latest PBI CE, are the kexts/config/dsdt installed correctly to your drive? Do you see the warning dialog?

If you can, please post your CLOVER folder so I can make sure that kexts/config/dsdt are placed correctly.

About Extra tools, you're the only one reporting this and I can't produce the problem again.
