how has things improved in the last year? i havent used osx on my 4330s in about a year and im wondering how things have improved.

i remember there being some problems when waking up the computer (would take a long time) and wifi not working with some cards, like mine, but that's fine as i got an usb card for that.

thinking about installing osx again on my 4330s so that's why im asking :p thanks for frequently updating the installer!
improved by leaps and bounds on the 4x30s. thanks to rehabman philip_petev and everyone else.

Hello everybody
2 weeks ago I've installed maverick on my 4330s
,everything worked like a charm, thanks to all of you, it's so easy
,and suddenly 2 days ago, I booted my HP, and the only thing
I got is a white screen, no bios, no bootloader,
I can see the hard drive working, the system is booting,
after 1 mn, if I touch the volume on the keyboard I can hear the sounds,
if I touch the brightness, the screen goes from white to black, but i don't see anything
on the screen !!
I can even listen to music by pressing the play touch !
but still nothing on the screen...
Could it be a physical problem with the hd3000 graphic card ?
can I fix that ?
I'm desperate.
I'm stuck in Haiti for 5 weeks, working there.
I don't know if I can find someone
to fix that...
thanks for your help

Since it spontaneously happened (according to what you write), it is probably disk corruption or a hardware problem. Boot into the OS X installer via your Unibeast USB and use Disk Utility to attempt to repair the system volume.

If you can't get into BIOS, you have a hardware problem.

Note: You seem to contradict this in post #1967.

This what I thought, it's a hardware problem,
The graphic card seems to be dead..
When i said the system is booting it's because I saw the
little white light in the front blinking
,and also I can listen to music by pressing the play,
but the screen is white , so I don't really know what I'm doing...
could the system boot when there's a problem
with the graphic card ?
the graphic card is in the processor, or is it in a different place ?
anyway thanks for your help

Most likely a problem with display itself or backlight.

can i use my regular apple id/itunes account with mavericks running on probook's using this installer, or will apple ban it or something? bought a ton of stuff on the app store that i will wanna install, and it would suck if something bad would happen to my account.

okay, so i installed 10.9.2 on my 4330s now (not on the internal ssd though, on an external hdd since i havent received my usb wifi card yet). some questions:

1) when i closed the lid, it went to sleep, but then when i woke it up keyboard/trackpad didn't work. is this expected? sleeping through the Apple menu seems to work

2) i'm assuming RehabMans' voodoo ps2 (https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller) is recommended installing. the installation guide states that you should remove some files. i couldn't find any of them, only AppleACPIPackage or something i think (not PS2Nub || PS2Controller). is this expected on 10.9.2? the guide also mentions this FakeSMC which i have no idea what it is, if there is something i should've read/done before reading this install guide let me know!

3) randomly trackpad and keyboard stops responding (this is after installing the thing above)

4) other 4330s tweaks i should do that aren't really listed anywhere?

as soon as i get the wifi usb card, if it works (D-link DWA-121 Nano), i am planning to dedicate the internal ssd to OSX.
