I'm happy to see you back to work on official Probook Installer.
I just came back from a long overseas trip and before going on another one, I will take part in testing.
In my opinion using native kexts guaranties full feature set OS has to offer and less errors. In ML 10.8 four essential kext have the following version numbers:
AppleHDA ver. 2.3.0
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement ver. 196.0.0
AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB ver. 8.0.51
IO80211Family.kext ver. 500.15
The easiest ones to patch are attached to the post. I will work on other two and add it later.
So is this one better than the one in the installer.
Edit: Im on 10.8 right now with this installer and it's running flawlessly, way better than lion...
Yes, they come from 10.8
The ones currently in the installer are from older versions of OS X. However, Do you remember 10.7.4? It broke HDMI mirroring and 10.7.3 of AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext was better version to use.
In case of 10.8 we will not know what works until some input from users.
Of course, choose the version that suits you better. I always prefer to be as close to the original.
