Anybody experienced Mavericks 10.9 installation on HP ProBook 6460b. Would like to know your experience, any issue and how to resolve it.

My experienced:
I tried with HP ProBook Installer 6.1.10. Quite complete installer with everything we need for HP laptop but still beta for 6460b.

Everything working fine except graphic resolution after reboot is only at 1024x768.
Try and error with many others post and suggestion but still can't get my luck on it. (ie: change /Extra/com.apple.boot.plist to include Graphics Mode)

The most related topic i found will be 6470b but haven't got time to try it out as now I am swapping between MacOS HDD and existing Windows 7 Encrypted HDD.

Thanks & hope to hear from expert feedback and comment.

Hi nguyenmac,

I see you have an 8470p, does it boot Mavericks fine? I am considering buying this model with HD4000 (or the previous 8460p), but I am a beginner in Hackintosh, so I am not sure whether it will work with Mavericks.
Does sleep, battery indication, brightness work on this model? I would like to use this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-mavericks/112380-guide-installing-mavericks-hp-probook.html

Best regards from Hungary,
Daniel

nguyenmac can give you more information, but I would recommend the 8470p over the 8460p.

Ok, thanks RehabMan. I prefer the 8470 with Ivy bridge as well, it is more up-to-date.
I hope nguyenmac can help.

It will work.

Hi Rehabman,

I bought the computer and started the installation, but I have problems now. I will write it in the Probook Mavericks forum.
