If you don't want the errors with 9280, try using Broadcom 43224, Broadcom 43225, then use the Broadcom 4322x DSDT patch in Probook Installer. My Broadcom 43224 works perfectly with Mavericks

I purchased HP Probook 4540s and installed Mavericks. Now I need a working WiFi+Bluetooth. I need a Bluetooth to use Bluetooth mouse.
Broadcom BCM943225HMB (or BCM943224HMB) Bluetooth will work with the Mavericks?

Or maybe there are better options for support Bluetooth? But I do not really want to use one USB-slot Bluetooth.

Just bought a Broadcom BCM943228HMB form Ebay. Works Great on my Probook 4540s!

Have found working drivers for windows 7 x64. Had to use driveridentifier.com to make them work properly.

Hi guys, sorry for the question but does the BCM943228HMB works OOB for both wifi and bluetooth ?

Does someone knows if the BCM943228HM works on 4540S ? I think the BCM943228HM model is juste the same as the BCM943228HMB but without Blutooth, but I'm not sure.

I have tried both Atheros AR9280 AR5BHB92 and Broadcom BCM94322HM8L (504664-001). Based on my experiences (5GHz band) I would recommend BCM94322HM8L.
Atheros AR9280 in addition to "unknown locale: 69" errors in console (unpatched EEPROM), it is very slow during boot and may fail to connect initially. I have to Toggle WiFi On/Off to get it to connect very first time (it seems ok on 2.4GHz). After this it seems to work ok until next reboot. Broadcom works flawlessly. It is also 1/2 price vs. Atheros AR9280 and it is available locally.

Did you find any solution to the 5ghz AR9280 problem? I only need the 5ghz wi-fi, i have a bt dongle separate.

You can use an AR9280 on the 4x30s with rebranding.

It is, but not the best choice. The 4540s has no whitelist. Best choice is BCM94352HMB.
