Question
- Why fan speed doesn't appear in HWMonitor?
- Why is processor speed is 792MHz most of the times and 2.48GHz sometimes ?! Please look at the pictures.
- For me, fan must work because I feel the processor is overheating, what should I do?

I would appreciate any help.

Regards

Likely because you didn't install FakeSMC_ACPISensors.kext.
If you followed my guide, it is in ~/Projects/probook.git/downloads/kexts.
It is not installed automatically.

Because CPU frequency (pstate) is ramped up to meet CPU demand.
It is CPU power management in action.

I have copied FakeSMC_ACPISensors.kext manually to Library/Extensions folder. However, no fan speed appears in HWMonitor. What could be wrong?

Another question please. You said in the guide
All of the scripts default to copying SSDT-FAN-READ.aml, which provides BIOS fancontrol and readings only. If you want a different fan patch, you can specify it as the second argument to install_acpi.sh. The possible values are READ, QUIET, SMOOTH, and MOD.
And for your 4540, you picked MOD, why do you prefer MOD over READ?
Which one is best and safe (I don't care about noise. Safety and Safety only) for my overheating 4530s until I buy thermal paste to do cleaning of the cooling system

How did you copy it?
Keep in mind you cannot install kexts with Finder.
No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

I prefer a quieter fan.
READ follows BIOS controls, which results in the fan running faster at lower temperaturs.

All are "safe", but the most "stock" is READ.
You can try each and see which you prefer.

If I am not wrong. Problem Reporting Files are the same with above referred thread.

I have copied the five files using Finder. Now they are there in Library/Extensions. However, sometimes it gives me a message that these kexts are not installed properly.

How to install them properly?

Thanks again

You cannot install kexts with Finder.
Use a kext installer or terminal.
You will now need to delete the ones you installed incorrectly.

Hint: New "Problem Reporting" files are needed with any change you make. Your kextcache output will likely clearly show your kexts are not installed correctly.

You can use any proper kext installer.
I don't use them, and prefer to use Terminal:
Code:
sudo cp -R KextToInstall.kext /Library/Extensions

And to rebuild cache:
Code:
sudo kextcache -i /
