Hi RehabMan,

I read it but still don't understand whether my laptop is supported for a Yosemite boot or not. Hence why i posted a new thread to explicitly ask.

Apologies for this sir

Yosemite is not available unless you previously downloaded it (against your Apple ID account).

But yes, Yosemite supports Haswell hardware.

Yes, i still have my Yosemite bootable drive that i used for my Hackintosh.

Will this work on my laptop?
Also, will the WiFi work? That is my main concern

Thanks RehabMan, appreciate the help :)

You should re-create the USB according to the guide already linked.

WiFi is covered in the FAQ (and you provided no details on your WiFi hardware).

So in a nutshell - recreate the USB based on the guide you provided above and thereafter boot Yosemite onto my laptop?

Also - my WiFi details are: Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn

Thanks :)

If Yosemite is what you want, the guide supports it.

Not supported, must be replaced.

If my WiFi isn't supported - can i use an alternative method like a WiFi Adapter or would i need to replace the card overall?

It is definitely not supported, so no question of "if"...

Replace it with compatible hardware. Have you read the FAQ yet?
