Do you have any guide details for this installation? I have a very similar HP Omen laptop and have been trying to get OSX installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HP Omen 15-ax250wm, 15.6" Full-HD IPS Display, Core i7-7700HQ QC Processor, NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti 4GB Graphics Card, 12GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.

The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

Id be interested to know how you got on with the install and if you got past your issues. I have the same Omen 17 laptop but with the lowly GTX1050 2gb card. I don't like the idea of the battery messing up for windows as well as macos.

Hi Ventus,

I'm thinking about one of these machines. Any chance of a progress update on whether you've overcome the issues as yet, and how it's performing overall?

Hey guys, sorry I started but because of work I never came around to it. If someone has created a Guide for the latest Omen Series, please let me know.

if a black screen is appearing with nothing on it:
press "Power switch" one time, one second, screen may appearing darker, normal.
wait a second,
press it once more rapidly, at this moment, you may seen your logging screen.
I think logging screen opens on DP first.
All is OK
WiFi, not. (Intel !)
USB WiFi OK with RT chip
Geekbench 13161
Clover 4411

Heya guys,
Did Any of you get the powermanagement working on these systems?
I just started with 10.13.3 instead of 10.12. Got my setup running and my GTX 1070 (and 4K display) works OoB with the Nvidia Drivers.
Next steps are kext for audio and tweak the powermanagement since my battery is still cut off after booting MacOS.
If any of you has kext or fixes for any of the 2, let me know :)!

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

What do you mean by "battery is still cut off"?

I'll try, i figured out that i probably need a ALC295 kext for the audio to work.
I found one overhere:
https://github.com/insanelydeepak/Patched-AppleHDA-for-Mac-OS-Sierra-10.12/issues/8
but how do i set my audio layout id to 13 as sugested?

layout 13 , remove AppleALC and dummy or any audio kexts

Like suggested in the very first post:
- My main problem is that booting OSX messes with my bios, in such way that both windows and the pc themself arent able to detect the battery anymore. I cant boot without powersupply. This problem isnt solvable until i reflash the BIOS (no factory default isnt working either :( )

I tried constructing an AHCI/DSDT patch back in the day, but that messed up my installation.
Any tips to get this working propperly or do you want me to help creating that, if yes, what do you need exactly?
