I was able to start Windows 8 with the wifi card .
It works but I can not read the EEPROM with atheros_eeprom_tool . I always get the error "DeviceIoControl error"

For rebranding, it is easier to use Linux.

For Windows, you should be using Win7 32-bit.

No need to install Ubuntu. Just run from USB.

Rebranding is easiest if done with a computer that doesn't have a WiFi whitelist.

Note also that HP branded cards are readily available and not expensive.

I don't understand the question. No idea what you mean by "hp product key"...

HP vendor/device sub-ids are described in the rebranding guide.

AR9485 is not supported.

Not a branding issue.

Rebranding is only useful with compatible hardware.

You cannot change the hardware by rebranding.

Hi to all anc thanks for the great guide ,
i'm at the beginning of making notebook hackintosh......i've created succesfully usb key with efi profile and el capitan os.
When i try to boot loading efi->boot->bootx64.efi sistem start correctly i see apple logo with bar filling itsel until i see 4 screen with same image....i cannot understand how to make patch dsdt to solve problem

i need some step also to make fix with clower configurator to solve some issue and configuring sistem
