Hi community

After trial and error, i successfully installed os x 10.6 snow leopard and upgraded it 10.6.8. Audio, and wireless are not working yet. Usb was first not deteting but it is fixed now. Removed AppleHPET.KEXT and usb works fine. Now i'm looking to upgrade it to os x 10.7 lion. I've downloaded mac os x lion application but i can't find dsdt for my motherboard. I've searched on different sites but no one has shared or discussed about dsdt for elitebook 6930p.
Please help me what should i do to install os x lion ? Is there any way except dsdt as well?
Here are my systems specs when i had win 7 installed on it.

Hi josh_smith,

I'm using HP Elitebook 6930p like you, I wonder what Mac OS version you're using. And with that version, do you have any problem such as audio, usb, so on. I'm very new to this Mac OS. Actually, I have just known that I can install Mac OS in my lap 2 days ago.

Can you give me some advices how to install this with our lap. I saw that you're asking DBST for your motherboard. So if you find it done, can you show me the address to get it too

Thank you so much.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

I was using max 10.6.8 but as i mentioned it had issues with audio and wireless. Usb was not detecting at start but after 1 removed 1 kext file AppleHPET.KEXT , it was working. I upgraded to 10.7.0 Lion, then my LAN card stopped working and i couldn't find any solution after days of searching, so i rolled back to 10.6.8. On 10.7 Lion, usb, audio and wireless none worked for me. Not to mention that, any mac version i installed, was eating battery too fast and heating up fastly as power saving mode were not working at all. But as this laptop is too old, it won't support any mac version properly and i will not suggest trying it as it is not worth it. I would suggest you to search this site especially golden builds section and see what other people have successfully made hackintosh and use their spec and buy a new laptop.

Oh my god,

I'm very happy because of you, josh_smith and moderator RehabMan. I have posted this question many times in other forums but none of them reply to me.

I know this is an old lap and I also think that it will get trouble when install Mac OS but still hope it works. Now I know it doesn't.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Hey Josh, do you still use it? I have your exact same model, same specs, T9400, ATI HD, etc...
Un fortunately it heats up a lot, with windows, but Unix, works lika a charm.
I used to plug in an external DiYVidock through the express card, BIOS whitelisted, and playing on ext monitor
in FUll HD tnx to an Invidia 480GT plugged in... I loved this pc a LOT, and Its still here, with me...

What is your experience with Snow Leopard? Have you tried a proper SDD?
Was your BIOS WHitelisted/modded?

I hope you still follow these forums. It is very interesting PC I will never get rid of, and CPU T9400 rules!

If you have no USB with AppleHPET.kext present you need to patch HPET in a DSDT. Recommend patching ICH9M and USB in a DSDT.

Well first i would suggest to make your own thread.
This thread is 7 years old and the last reaction was 4 years ago.
Also you already made a thread wich was from yesterday, i understand you would like help but just be patient.
iBoot 3.3 is good and if you have an OFICIALL Snow Leopard DVD you are ready to go.
You want Snow Leopard right?
I suggest you take a look at this:
