HP elitebook 2170p with Mavericks "I have some problems"

when I was writing this, I tried to install
VoodooHDA - v2.8.4 - 2746 and the audio worked
while the volume from the speaker can not configure it , but it works.

It sounds as if you're not following the guide... (eg. not a correctly patched DSDT, we don't use VoodooHDA on the ProBook, etc.)
 
We haven't tested 2170p yet, so some hardware may not be compatible. Intel wifi won't work, buy another card. What is your Audio chipset name?

What problems do you get at step 16?

You can use DPCI Manager 1.5 to identify your audio vendor/product name.

Btw, you should states all the info of your laptop here, because your model is not supported in PBI.

With a new model, you should get a PCI inventory from DPCIManager or 'lspci -nn' in Linux. And ideally a audio codec dump from Linux (google 'patch AppleHDA guide').

Then we can see what model of ProBook yours is most similar to.

Also, a copy of the native DSDT should be extracted, such that we can see if the DSDT patches are applicable.

Seems like same codec as 6x70b, IDT 92HD81B1X5 (not surprising)...

It's the same Audio with 8x70p. You don't have Audio because you don't complete step 16. Please stop installing other kexts, and remove the kexts that you manually installed (VoodooHDA).

What are you confused? There is no EFI folder in Mavericks partition.
