Hi,

After reading various posts, and reading other's success stories, I decided to purchase a HP Compaq 8300 SFF (Model# C9H22UT#ABA) to replace my aging MacBook Pro. However no matter what I try I can not boot to the MacOS X Installer. I have followed the UniBeast: Install OS X El Capitan on Any Supported Intel-based PC instructions here (using UEFI boot mode) and here http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/p...hine-hp-elite-8300-sff-i7-3770-gt-630.199712/ and I get the boot screen with with the Apple logo and the progress bar loads about half way before the machine automatically reboots itself. This would be my second Hackintosh (I successfully installed El Capitan on a Lenovo M58P as an experiment and had success) so I have some experience, but I am still a noob to this, but I do have other computer experience.

I have installed a PNY GeForce GT 710 graphics card https://www.pny.com/GeForce_GT_710_2048MB_DDR3_PCI-E_2_0_Low_Profile?sku=VCGGT7102XPB and disabled the onboard graphics and installed a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 Wireless-N900 Dual Band PCI-Express Adapter http://www.frys.com/product/6938687.

Computer Specs:

3rd Generation Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz Processor
8GB of DDR2 memory; ensures fast computing performance
1 TB HDD

Any Help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!! :)

Did you implement the step #8 part of the guide ?
8. (Optional) Install Nvidia web drivers and use Clover Configurator to set "nvda_drv=1"

You'll likely need to use nv_disable=1 first to get to the installer. Then do step number 8.

Not sure how you could be using DDR2 ram in that system. must be a typo.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! This got me to the installer and I was successful in installing OSX. I'm actually posting this reply from my HP. And you're right that was a typo about DDR2.
