HP 4330s and Snow Leopard how?

I made it (I originally bought Snow Leopard Retail to make a Dell Mini 1011v)

One method that works well when a machine will not boot from vanilla clover (which mine won't)

1. create a new machine in VMWare using an ISO of the CD/DVD or installer

2. create a bootable disk image using Carbon Copy Cloner (or clone direct to the boot drive - I have a USB to SATA adapter that works well)

3. Mount the image on a working Mac and run PBI and install Clover

4. Put the drive in HP ProBook

I have done several like this without issue

Including messing up the Dell completely and simply reinstalling from the image I made using the method above

So to recap SL is totally fresh and it works fine in a real MacBook

Thanks

Mark

There is no such thing as "Snow Leopard Retail" 10.6.8. Latest retail DVD is 10.6.3.

Sorry did not complete the story ran Software Update inside VMWare

Booted MacBook Pro after that update so all good

Still not figured this out though but it is just a challenge now

I found a way around the App that solved my problem and don't currently need Rosetta

It would be nice to understand it - have read all the notes and watched videos etc

Many thanks

If you have a Clover setup that can boot newer OS X than 10.6.8 (eg. 10.7.0 and above), then you only need to add injection of AAPL,os-info to boot 10.6.8. It is that simple.
