Edit 3/17 10:38am: Does anyone know how to specify a monitor profile so that it doesn't think there is a monitor connected with no surface area?
See below for the original post and background.
After looking at the logs again it appears that it's having trouble getting back information about the Display through the HDMI cable. See this section of the Dell monitor (Display 0) and the Samsung HDTV (Display 1). I get the same results if I use the Dell Monitor with the HDMI cable. I should also note that unplugging the hdmi cable doesn't bring back the display on the DVI port. It just sits there with the frozen image of what was last displayed.
Original Post below:
I've had pretty good luck with my Lion build (Unibeast with App Store 10.7.3 + MultiBeast 4.2.1). I had trouble getting my EVGA GeForce GTS 250 (512mb) to wake from sleep in the PCI-E x16 slot, so I have it in the 8x slot where it wakes from sleep just fine (go figure).
Both DVI ports seem to work fine individually. I tried to hook up the second one to my TV today by using a DVI->HDMI adapter (that works fine when connected to my MBP with the MiniDisplay Port -> DVI adapter -> HDMI -> TV). As soon as I plugged in the HDMI cable, everything froze.
I've tried it with a different HDMI cable, I've tried each DVI port separately (and individually). My Dell monitor has HDMI in and I tried using that as the only monitor with the DVI->HDMI adapter. No luck. When I have the HDMI cable plugged into one of the ports, it seems to boot just fine. But then as it's about to hit the login screen. It just freezes completely with a light/gray background.
Any idea what might be causing it?
Thanks!
