Hello, I am a very new hackintosh user and I managed to install hackintosh on my PC. But I think this is just 50% of the work as a lot of things such as my audio, wifi, location etc are not working and I know I would need to install some kexts or patch some kexts. I am kind of a dummy in this scenario as I have been a windows user for most of my life but I would love to learn new things about other OS especially Mac.
How do we actually "patch" a kext? I know I can use kext uility to install a kext but how does one patch one? Do we always have to go to config.plist? I am trying to make my audio wok but there is a lot of information about Apple ADA and it seemed very confusing. Is there an application like kext uility which allows you to patch? I would really appreciate a layman's explanation for me as I am just trying to learn!
