i’m about to put a new mobo / cpu in my laser hive G5. i currently have a 120mm water cooler blowing out the back with 2 fans in front pulling cool air in.

this build needs a bigger radiator (240mm). obvs it can only be mounted at the front. what do most people do? draw cool air in from the front or reverse the airflow and draw cool air from the back?

thx

thanks - in the end i bought a NZXT 510 as a temporary case and from reading about that case, you're supposed to pull in cool air from the front and exhaust it out the back/top. it just seemed bad to heat up the inside of the case on purpose but i actually installed the fans both ways and observed that the CPU temps were like 20C higher the other way.

the G5 only has one fan at the back so there is an in/out imbalance but i guess there's not much that can be done about that.
