I can only say that if I install FileNVRAM1.3 restart, try to login (fail), delete the generated NVRAM file, and then install FileNVRAM1.1 and reboot I have been able to successfully authenticate to iMessage.

Hi Staypuft,

Thank you for posting your somewhat unusual iMessage solution, I'm a little confused though as both of those versions of FileNVRAM have known issues. 1.1.1 is know to sometimes fail to update certain keys in the OSX nvram correctly and 1.1.3 simply does not to work for most people, so your always going to end up with issues at some point ?

Have you tried using version 1.1.2 as per the guide ? this seems to be the most stable version for most people and unless your using a RAID or EFI partition to boot, it should keep working unless something happens at Apple's end such as the CC expires.

Cheers
Jay

I'm in the same boat. Tried Chameleon, Clover, and all things in this thread but problem still persists.

Add me to the list. :(

iMessage stopped working on my Hackintosh last night. I'm able to logout and re-login (and when I login my other devices receive the iMessage activation message). But all my contacts are in red, the only exception is my phone number, my phone number is still in blue. I'm still able to send iMessage to my phone number, but sending to anyone else will fail with the "xxx is not registered with iMessage" error.

Meanwhile, everything works perfectly on my iPad, iPhone and MacBook Pro.

Exactly the same behavior on my Apple devices: just my iPhone number still remains blue! I guess this will grow bigger than we expect.

Same here

did it happen before or after updating Safari to 7.0.3 ?

Hi fellow Hackingtosher's

FYI.

iMessage is still working for me on 10.9.2 on my Hackingtosh laptop (MonkeyBook), however checking the console log shows similar messages to what others have recently reported :-
Code:
05/04/2014 20:20:26.201 com.apple.SecurityServer[14]: Killing auth hosts

Despite these messages appearing in my log, iMessage is still working for me ?

So not sure if these log messages are a wildcard or not ?

I do think this is something new and makes me wonder if Apple have introduced some new level of security on their servers ? I've never seen these msssages before today but i haven't used iMessage for a few days.

As fiftythree suggests, this issue could escalate quickly and effect more users.

Please report any findings

Cheers
Jay

Did a fresh install of 10.9.2 and it has notthing to do with Safari or any other updates.
(i did´nt update anything)
I can log on to Appstore and iCloud but not iMessage.
On my other hack i am logged in on iMessage but all contacts is red :roll2:

So your fresh 10.9.2 install you can't even log into iMessages now?
