Hallo to everyone,I need your help, since I made a big mess trying to adjust the iMessage bug.

following the guide at Step-3: SMBIOS.plist and Boot-loader, I generated a new random serial number but probably I defined the pc as a macpro 4,1 intsead of 3,1 as it was before.

the results is that now I can't boot at all, neither for hdd neither from usb. I get a kernel panic:

BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task

what can I do?
any help will be very usefull!

thanks

@tommo84,

Have you tried booting into single user mode ( -s as boot flag), it should boot you straight into a terminal/command window. From there you can mount you startup drive and edit the plist.

Cheers

Copy and paste it into a post, overwrite a few characters with xxxx so no one knows the whole id, or PM it to me.

Hi,

Thank's you for this topic.
Unfortunatelly I have try a lots of thing but iMessage still doesn't work.
It's not the first time I have problem with iMessage registration but this time I can't solve the problem :(
It was strange, I use iMessage on my hackintosh since 1 month without problem and today, just after the login screen, like if it was my first boot, Mac OS ask me if I want to configure iMessage now (but doesn't ask me my password) and ask me to accept Term of Use (are they new ?), and after that iMessage stop working.

I've try to change SN, UUID, MLB, ROM and chane Appleid pswd but nothing work !

Anyone has a solution ?

Here is my config.plist (from Clover :) ).

PS: Sorry for my bad english...

Hi Boys & Girls

Some one please help me :banghead:

I am unable to get iMessage working again. It was working but logged on today and it's no longer working.
When I try to log in I get an error message that says "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again."

I have tried everything on this site that I can find and I am totally stuck. Any help you very kind folks can give would be gratefully rec'd

I'm now randomly getting the contact apple message now with iMessage. Doh!

For those of you that called Apple, did you go and find a genuine serial number or just used the one automatically generated in SMbios?

Thanks

Jay,

Thanks for the confirmation, however now I don't know why iMessage stopped working. I've done the following so far:

Step 1: I can login to apple and have verified my account
Step 2: Reverified that the AppleIntelE1000e starts with en0
Step 3: I'm using Chimera 3.0.1, other than that, I skipped this step since iMessage was working previously on this machine
Step 4: This is really the only change I think I should be making. I deleted all the files including the com.apple.security files and rebooted
Step 5: NVRAM, I set this up previously, and since all I've done is erase files in Step 4, I don't think I have anything to do here.

I've also repaired permissions repeatedly and run sudo nvram boot-args=""

At this point I keep getting the "Could not sign in to iMessage. An error occurred during activation. Try again."

What am I missing?

Just adding my two cents as well to this thread. I have two hacks running at my house and a legit MacBookPro and both of my hacks got logged out of iMessage yesterday and both of them gave me a unique code to give to customer service. I called and gave them the serial number to my MacBookPro but gave them the code to one of my hacks and that computer started working right away. My other hack is still giving my the code to call Apple with. It would appear that this code is device specific and it is a lock out on your apple id? I haven't attempted to call with the other code yet...

Please can someone help me imessage was working perfectly until this morning now won't let me log in. It just says an error occurred during activation. However icloud app store and itunes are still working. What do I need to do in idiots terms as I am not very technical with this stuff.

Thanks

Matt
