Hey guys, so I've seen tonymacx86's guide but that was a direct update, I wanted a clean installation instead so here goes. We are going to use the createinstallmedia command in the Mac terminal. Also heads up make sure your macOS High Sierra installer is NOT the 19 MB version, if it is go to the App store and redownload macOS High Sierra and make sure it is the 5.17 GB version. I can only confirm this works with UEFI booting, if someone gets it working with legacy then please say so, and this is my first guide so tell me if anything is wrong about it :)

    Step 1:
    A. Get yourself a USB that has at least 8 GB of space

    B. Go to Disk Utility and format the drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

    C. Name it "USB" without quotes (Just name it that because it will get renamed later anyways)

    Step 2:
    A. Go to Terminal now and type this without the quotation marks:
    "sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB"

    B. While waiting for it to finish, go download the latest revision of Clover.

    C. Also download all your needed kexts, FakeSMC is a must, I would also recommend getting your Ethernet kext too

    Step 3:
    A. Run the Clover package and select your USB which should be something like "Install macOS High Sierra". Make sure you have selected your proper EFI drivers by selecting the "Customize option"

    B. Download apfs.efi (Download Below) then navigate to EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI and add it there

    C. Now add all your kexts including FakeSMC.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

    D. (Optionally if EFI is not mounted by the clover install then use EFI Mounter v3, Download it below)

    Step 4:
    A. Boot into your UEFI BIOS
    I. Set to Optimized Defaults
II. Turn off VT-d if you have it
III. Disable IO SerialPort if you have it
IV. Disable CFG-Lock if you have it
    V. Set OS to Other OS
    VI. Enable XHCI-Handoff
VII. If you have a 6 series or x58 system with award BIOS, disable USB 3.0

    B. Boot into your USB installer

    C. Once there go to Utilities and select Disk Utility

    D. Format the drive you want to install macOS on as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) name it something like MacHD or macOS
    I. If you have an SSD the installer will automatically format it to APFS but if you are using a hard drive then you will be staying on HFS+ (DO NOT TRY TO FORCE APFS ON HARD DRIVES, you will get slowed performance and crashes. APFS is designed for SSDs or any other flash based drive NOT hard drives, on the other hand HFS+ was designed for hard drives)

    E. Exit Disk Utility and select the drive you just formatted to continue with the installer

    Step 5:
    A. Once the install is complete, MAKE SURE TO BOOT FROM USB FIRST BECAUSE CLOVER ISN'T INSTALLED TO DRIVE

    B. Select 'macOS Install from XXXXX' (XXXXX is whatever you named your drive)

    C. You will notice that when you boot it looks like an upgrade. If it restarts right after you boot to macOS don't worry thats normal, just do what B says again ^

    D. Download all the kexts you need and use Kext Utility or KextBeast to install them
(DO NOT JUST PUT KEXTS IN L/E or S/L/E IT WON'T WORK)

    (Optional) Step 6:
    A. If you have an Nvidia Graphics card that is not supported by macOS install this
    I. Also for CUDA support download and install this, do not install version 9.0.197 it has some issues with High Sierra

    B. If you do not want to use Kext Utility or KextBeast you can actually use MultiBeast
    I. Right Click on MultiBeast and click Show Package Content
II. Navigate to Contents/Resources and you should see a bunch of pkg installers
III. Now copy the ones you need to desktop and install them one by one

    C. Getting USB working
    I. macOS High Sierra has a new raise port limit patch for Skylake/100 series CustoMacs, just follow tonymacx86s guide here

THAT'S IT. Thanks for reading and comment for any help and I will do what I can to assist you :D

After installation, clover does not display the boot disk.

Did you add the apfs.efi file I posted to EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI? or if your running a legacy clover then add it to EFI/CLOVER/drivers64

After many tests, I rewrote the usb from 0, along with the installation of HighSierra and I ran the first one.

Ahroa I have installed HighSierra, but installing Clover on the HighSierra disk I get a "Can not install"

IMG_6627.jpg The problem I'm having is that I can't format my SSD since I don't have macOS yet. it's just an empty SSD.
I went through the steps of creating the USB installer and when I get to the clover screen and select Install from USB it boots up the apple logo with empty progress bar and just stays there. If I run it with -v I get the final message "attempting system restart ... MACH REBOOT"
