PILGRIM: thanks again for your patience and help.again and compare it to what you had previously.
These instructions need updating for 10.12 and above where the disk util app has changed slightly and one must "view devices" and make sure and erase to a GUID partition. This step extracts the Installer contents, then installs Clover bootloader to the USB stick.
1. Insert the USB drive
2. Open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility
3. Highlight the USB drive in left column
4. Click on the Partition tab
5. Click Current and choose 1 Partition
6. Click Options...
7. Choose GUID Partition Table
8. Under Name: type USB (You can rename it later)
If the installer was open or you used the red dot to close it that may be the problem. You need to open it again and close it using the top tool bar and selecting close or exit the installer. Check to see if its in your Applications folder and try running UniBeast again.
See https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/unibeast-8-troubleshooting-notes.235489/I have been having a hell of a time getting this made. I waited until the HS was ready to install, quit, formatted drive, ran unibeast and then this happens. Tried it twice. Not sure what I've done wrong...
Ha! Well, thank you. I get a little lost on this site. Too many places to look for info! Trying this solution now.
