How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I have re applied the CAVS -> HDEF 43415653 48444546 patch as per the guide.
But still only HDMI audio.

I never modified the arbitrary section. I don't know how to do it.
It was a suggestion from somebody.

Also, in relationship to your screenshot, I don't have a HDEF entry in the RegistryExplorer

I was thinking about your problem during the diner.

- I use watevergreen kext but with or without sound is ok for me ( GPU boot without also)
- You have applied the guide and i can confirm all is working for me with.
- But on my other build I use the WoodoHDA of the HackintoshMontreal site : you may register and try this : it solved many issue with my R9 380.

I was able to make it work!
Using
E.3.2) VoodooHDA Audio Implementation

probably I had made a mistake previously when re adding the patch prior to modifying the VoodooHDA kext.
It's working now.
Only thing is the entries in the sound pref pane don't exactly respect the back ports.
- Line in is missing in the back panel
- Line Out, Rear, C/Sub are all in one port
- SPDIF is present
- Front and Rear Mic are present
- Front headphones port is present
- Voodoo Pref pane works as well

Do you have the same motherboard?
Do you have the same configuration?

Thanks a lot for your help!!

Is there a solution for Nvidia UI lag on a 770 (Kepler GPU)? I can't seem to find Web Drivers compatible with this card and the native drivers, while they do work, are beyond laggy… It's virtually unusable! :(

I use web driver 378.10.10.10.25.106 for kepler and maxwell and work fine.

Normal we are here for sharing ;-)

My config is relatively a budget one :
i7-7800X, Gigabyte GA X299 UD4, Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ RX 580 SE 8 GB ( will upgrade to 64 GB ram soon)
I have BCM94360CD PCIe
I wait for the deliver of Asus Thunderbolt EX3 PCIe
Next stage LG Ultrafine 5k screen
I use my X299 for Desing and Architecture BIM.

And I have planed a second build with i9-7960X and Vega Frontier Edition for 3D design creation and modeling.

I use web driver 378.10.10.10.25.106 for kepler and maxwell and work fine.

Trying those now! Thank you for the info…

EDIT: HOLY HECK!!! This basically gave me my computer back!! So glad to have a smooth UI back… The lag was driving me INSANE!!! <3 <3 <3

Why did you apply "<key>Arbitrary</key>"

Here is my config.plist : ( I had just removed serial & board id)

Sound is working via hdmi or DP or via 7.1 channel on the mobo.
There you have. I made some changes in config and put to folder ssdts for rx 580 in slot 1 and 3 (Pc01 ore Pc02)
It have nothing to do with Mirone's patch.
If you want to use Arbitrary method you have to delete ssdt corresponding to devises in clover arbitrary.

Thanks !

I have understand after take a look to the files you have shared.

Arbitrary could help me to achieve Pci implementation.

This SSDT is right for me for my RX 580 in slot 1.

What is Mirone's patch ?
