Thanks for responding Xerox. I double checked in Windows with aida64 engineer like you suggested. Unfortunately it is the same device id that kgp has in his guide since we both have 1080 ti and one that I’ve tried many times. I also have applealc 1.2.4 and Lilu 1.2.2 in my other kexts folder and use the kext patch and ssdt implementation. I can’t understand why I can’t get HDMI audio to show up

I was puzzled but in the end it was a mistake that I did not see, I would review everything again.

Share your ssdt, ioreg and photos of aida64 , I will try to lend a hand

Hi
Hi All,

*******LONG POST WARNING!********

First things first, can I say a big thanks to kgp and all the other contributors to this thread. As a first-time-in-a-very-long-time-hacker, this guide has been an invaluable resource.
...

Hey justdatruth!

I was hoping you could help me out... I've been going insane lately trying to get my hackintosh up and running but I've had no success! I see that you have a similar setup and PLEAD for your help hahaha.

MY SETUP:
Case: Cooler Master Cosmos C700P
MB: ASRock X299 Taichi XE
CPU: i7-7820x
GPU: Gigabyte Aorus Geforce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme 11G GDDR5x
PSU: 750 Watt Seasonic Prime Ultra Modular 80+ Titanium
RAM: 32GB (4x 8192MB) G.Skill Trident Z silber/rot DDR4-3600 DIMM CL15-15-15-35 Dual Kit
SSD: 500GB Samsung 960 Evo
HDD: 4TB WD Black
Current OS: Windows 10 (not activated/paid/official) on a partition of the 500Gb SSD (250Gb, the other 250 Gb I was going to use to install the macOS)

Here's a link to a thread I already had and spoke with P1LGRIM, who tried to help me out and modify some versions of the config.plist but to no avail: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/help-macos-installer-not-working.248621/ . I followed both guides from here using UniBeast and guides on youtube (like this one:
) but nothing worked. Then I took it to a guy that said macOS High Sierra wouldn't work on my Taichi XE (after charging me €50 for him trying a couple of days and no success) and that I should change my motherboard. I see you have it up and running so I think what that guy told me was kind of ********...

How did you get it to work? Did you go step by step on the instructions at the beginning of this thread? Could you help me figure out the BIOS settings, the Boot USB, config.plist, etc for this motherboard? I really don't know what else to do... You would be my GOD hahaha

Cheers!
I

Does anyone have issues with USB drives (when they go idle/sleep) and if you try to wake it after a day, the drive becomes "not writeable" until you eject (sometimes force eject) and remount?

Just have an issue with the drives not been ejecting properly after wake.. also that my usb drives show up as internal drives even after a successful SSDT

I cant get the installer to boot Its stuck at the

Is anyone else having the same issue?

I had the very same issue when I tried the first time.
It turned out that I must have missed a step (or 2) during preparation of the install USB stick.
Carfully go through another time

All the best

Pedro, I think the problem was your tone. The above sentences lead to people thinking that the whole HighSierra in X299 is flawed. Of course @kgp would react like he did, because actually it is working great for most of us here.

Perhaps you were able to find the problem? If yes, please post here the solution, so others can learn from it.

Otherwise, it will be helpful if you debug a bit. For example, you could post some CPU benchmarks, like Cinebench, and have "Intel Power Gadget" running in the background. That can help to narrow down the problem. If you have full performance in the benchmarks, than it seems the problem is with the specific music hardware you are using. If you don't have full performance, then there is something wrong with the configuration. And so on.

Wait wait wait! KGP clearly states in the beginning this is a "HighSierra in X299" thread, for all :) Don't exclude my (cheap, but very capable) MSI SLI Mobo. It has been running beautifully since September.
Hello, Can you share ssdt.aml and config bios with me? I can not full speedstep. Tks :(

Well, after two weeks of rock solid use (and no changes to anything I am doing) I am now getting kernel panics every few hours.
