It simply doesn't give me boot screen and comes back to bios config screen. I can see my USB partition in bios though.
You can check D.3.3 steps in the text file:

Rauan:Install MacOS High Sierra iMacRa1$ mkdir .IABootFiles
Rauan:Install MacOS High Sierra iMacRa1$ cd .IABootFiles
Rauan:.IABootFiles iMacRa1$ cp /Volumes/Install\ MacOS\ High\ Sierra/System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi .
Rauan:.IABootFiles iMacRa1$ ls boot.efi
boot.efi

Can it be something else? I didn't find on my motherboard the option to choose XMP profile, it is not there.

3.) /M.I.T/Advanced Memory Settings/
a.) Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P): Profile1

I did follow section D.3.3 word by word and still not able to boot. I suspect that there is something else.
  • I tried two separate USB sticks, where both are detected by BIOS in config screen, but not visible for boot.
  • I tried two separate computers: iMac late 2012 and MacBook late 2013.
  • I tried both ways to create bootable usb: with terminal script (sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app --nointeraction) and with InstallDiskCreator.app
  • I also tried both createInstaller.sh and scripts only to create installer app in applications fodler.
I am sure it is most likely small stupid thing that I am missing or doing wrong, but just can't find it.

Have you looked into the .IABootFiles folder on your USB and confirmed the presence of boot.efi? Must have hidden files showing in finder to do so.

This is what I get when I run ls:
Rauan:.IABootFiles iMacRa1$ ls boot.efi
boot.efi

I assumed that this is a prove. Should I check it somehow else?

Yea that's the proof that boot.efi now is in .IABootFiles

Sorry for repeating myself, but why it doesn't boot then? :banghead:

What means it does not boot?... what is exactly the problem?... We have to analyse your issue with some patience ;)

here is what happens. I insert USB stick in USB port and start the PC. Then I tried two ways:
  • I press DEL to access BIOS config and make USB as first boot option, save and exit. Because I have empty clean Samsung 960 Evo it comes back to BIOS setting menu.
  • I press F12 to access boot option and choose my USB stick partition to boot from it comes back to boot menu in a few seconds.

Sorry, but or your missing the EFI-Folder in the EFI-Partition of your USB Flash Drive Installer?

Seems that you do not even enter the Clover Boot Menu..

Here is the EFI partition mounted by Clover Config:

Here are copied two folders (I renamed it to USB yesterday evening, before it was always Install macOS High Sierra):

But for some reason I never enter to clover boot menu on startup.

Many thanks for this great guide. I've tried it with MSI X299 Raider/i9-7900X/MSI Radeon RX 580. Boot & installation of High Sierra worked for me without any modification in the config but the resulting system is very slow/lagging. Anybody any ideas what to do to fix this? Or would you recommend me buying an other/better motherboard (Asus Prime X299 Dlx maybe) to avoid further problems ? (I guess my problems result from my rather 'exotic' mobo??)

many thanks in advance for any help.
